1. Use Vertical Space on Wall

Using the vertical space on a wall is a great way to maximize storage space in a nursery.
I love the idea of using photo ledges to display books forward facing in a nursery.
Doing this saves floor space and it also looks beautiful in a nursery.
2. Use Back of Door for Storage
When you’re working with a small space, it’s important to look for unused space for storage.
One space that is often overlooked is the back of the door, either in a closet or the main door to the room.

Using a door rack on the back of a door is such a great small nursery idea.
You can store so many things in these racks – I’m a bit obsessed with them! They can be used to store diapers, wipes, lotions, bottles, and more.
3. Maximize Space in Drawers with Dividers

You can fit so much more into nursery dressers when you use drawer dividers.
It’s the best way to maximize every inch of space in each drawer.
4. Use Large Baskets to Store Baby Stuff
In a small nursery, you may have limited room for bigger pieces of furniture to store baby things.
Using baskets to store items like baby blankets, stuffed animals, etc. is a great idea, because you can simply place them on a dresser or even on the floor without taking up too much space.

This mom uses a small wire basket to store rolled baby blankets and swaddles.
This is such a simple, yet practical small nursery idea.

This tiered wire basket is a great choice for storage in a small nursery, because it’s utilizes vertical space.
5. Mobile Cart that can be tucked away

Using a rolling cart is one of my favorite small nursery ideas, because it can be used in a variety of ways.
You can use it organize diaper changing items or even as a breastfeeding station.
Because it’s mobile, you can simply tuck it away when you’re done using it.
