The changing table is an important part of any nursery, because you’ll certainly be spending a lot of time there. Not only do you use a changing table to change your baby’s diaper, but it’s a place you’ll change their clothes, apply creams and lotions, spend time after bath and more.
There are many ways to create the perfect changing station for baby. Here are 8 changing table ideas that may inspire your own nursery.

#1 Organize changing table dresser drawers with bins

This person used a dresser as a changing table, which is what I did as well. This is a great tip if you’re looking for small nursery organization tips or creating a nursery in a master bedroom.
You can use simple bins found at the Dollar Tree to separate and organize all of baby’s diapers, wipes, creams and other changing table essentials you’ll need for baby.
#2 Changing table idea: use a peg board over changing table

Utilizing vertical space is my favorite nursery organization hack! I love the idea of using a pegboard above the changing table. You can use hooks to store baskets which can hold all of your newborn essentials!
#4 Rustic pegboard and crates

Here is another changing station that uses a pegboard, but it has a more rustic feel to it which I love. You can find a similar pegboard over at Red Barn Collective!
I like how they use crates and baskets on the changing table shelves to organize everything for baby.
Using vertical space is a great changing table idea for small spaces!
#4 Wire baskets on the wall

This mom simply attached wire baskets to the wall above her baby’s changing table. I love that she went with wire baskets, because it’s easier ot see what’s inside them when you’re looking for something quickly.
#5 A hutch as a repurposed changing table idea

If you’re on the hunt for alternative changing table ideas, this may be an idea to add to your list! I wish I would have done something like this when my daughter was a baby.
First of all, repurposing a hutch for a changing station is such a great idea because it has a ton of storage space! Additionally, there’s more room for decorative touches (or just more storage space!).
#6 Repurpose an old TV cabinet or armoire

Another awesome repurposing project is using an old TV cabinet or armoire to use as a changing station. You can close the doors when you’re not using it for a minimalistic look in the nursery.
I also love how this mom uses the inside of the doors to store items with hooks. You could even attach an over-the-door organization system to store items like bibs, burp clothes, diapers and more.
#7 Add the changing table inside the nursery closet

This is an interesting idea! Create a diaper changing station right inside your nursery’s closet. You’ll have more space to add all your baby and diaper changing essentials and baby’s clothes will already be at an arm’s reach!
#8 Organize changing table dresser with drawer dividers

Similar to our previous drawer organization look, this mom uses drawer dividers to organize night from daytime diapers, medicines and thermometers and diaper bags.
I included this last idea, because I just love getting a peek inside other nursery dressers for some reason. I can’t be the only one, right? 😉
I hope you found some inspiration with these 8 changing table ideas!
