The hardest part of any diet for me is my late night cravings. I always want something to sweet toward the end of the day, but when you’re dieting, chances are you don’t have anything healthy and sweet in your refrigerator. That’s why I’ve become obsessed with keto mug cakes. You can usually make them in under five minutes with only a handful of ingredients for a quick sweet snack.
The BEST Keto Sweetener
I’ve discussed this before, but I can’t stop talking about how much I love and recommend this sweetener for Keto dessert recipes! I’ve been on low-carb (& low sugar) diets before and I always struggled with still wanting something that tastes classically sweet. The usual alternative sweeteners just don’t cut it for me, unfortunately. I can’t seem to get past the aftertaste and I usually end up caving for a “real” dessert.
Swerve has been an absolute game changer for me though. I know this sounds silly (I mean, we’re talking about a sweetener), but the sweet tooth struggle is real. It truly tastes like actual sugar to me and defintely satisfies the sweet tooth cravings!
These are some of my favorite recipes right now. All these keto mug cakes are quick, easy and delicious!
I can’t tell you how much more I’m getting out of the ketogenic diet now that I’m implementing more slow cooker meals. Truthfully, I am not a meal prep mom. My life would be so much easier if I were, however! I have zero time at the end of the day to put together a meal for my family, let alone a keto dinner that the whole family will love.
Once I pulled out the slow cooker, it all started to become a lot easier. It’s so simple to throw everything into my crockpot in the morning and have it be ready by the time dinner rolls around. You can even prep and freeze these meals in batches. Simply thaw one out the night before and throw it in the slow cooker in the morning.

I’ve been trying to lose the baby weight from my last pregnancy and the Keto diet has defintely been successful. I’m always in the mood for a good dessert, however. I love the idea of a no-bake option, because it’s quick and easy.
The BEST Sweetener for Keto Dessert Recipes
I really do not like the taste of stevia or other alternative sweeteners, so generally I haven’t really liked Keto desserts – UNTIL I tried this sweetener. I don’t know where it has been all my life, but I’m happy that I’ve finally found it. There is literally no aftertaste and it really tastes like real sugar to me. It also measures like sugar typically will. My husband and 3 year old can’t even tell when I use it.
